Tax bills for the upcoming fiscal year will be mailed by our vendor on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 and also should be available online on that date. Please contact the tax office if you do not receive them by Wednesday, July 6th and they do not appear online. If you feel there has been an error made on your bill, please contact either the tax office or the assessor’s office as soon as possible.

All town offices will be closed on Friday, July 1st and Monday, July 4th.
Taxes become due and payable as of July 1, 2022 and you have a grace period to pay without a penalty. Payments must be postmarked by the U. S. postal service or received in the office by Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Payments not meeting that criteria will be considered late and will be subject to the interest penalty. Online bank payments have no postmark and must be considered as paid on the date of receipt per State Statutes. Tax office mail always has at least a two day delivery time so please do not wait until the last day to mail or have the bank mail your payment.
Tax payments can be mailed to PO Box 195, Pleasant Valley, CT 06063, paid online (fees apply) by going to the link on www.barkhamsted.us
or by dropping your check (no cash please!) in the black mail box outside the lower door of the town hall building. Tax office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 – 4:30.
