On July 21st, meet at Squire’s Tavern, 100 East River Road at 2:00 pm, and join Paul Hart for a short hike, where he will explain how the scenery has changed over time.
There will be about a dozen stops along the trail where Paul will describe the way the area would have looked in the 1800’s. Stops include: Squire’s Tavern, the Nature museum, the remains of a charcoal hearth, the site of the tree nursery and many more.
This is a very popular event so be sure not to miss it! It is only done once a year.
The hike is about 1 mile long and should last about an hour and a half. Some of the terrain is on uneven ground. Wear comfortable shoes for the walk and dress appropriately.
